My name is JJ van Heerden, and I am running the Addo 100 mile Elephant Trail Run on the 18th of March.
Despite the near-impossible challenge I’m embarking on, I’m doing it to raise money for all the daily expenses, maintenance needs and necessary upgradation of the facilities at Pebbles Primrose, a nursery school that supports underprivileged children from the Makausi Informal Settlement in Primrose.
Pebbles Primrose is a non-fee-paying nursery school that works with children between the ages of three to six years old. It focuses on early childhood development while equipping parents with parenting skills and encouraging families to function as a loving unit despite the often-tragic circumstances that these children find themselves in.
HOPE believes that no situation is without hope and that with time, love and perseverance we can make a difference one life at a time.
The children are offered early childhood development education and Grade 1 preparation skills, transport to and from the school, 3 meals per day, educational resources, dental care, health checks, clothing and much more at absolutely NO cost to the family.
As I push my emotional, mental and physical self to do what seems impossible… I’m encouraging YOU to donate money and help us reach our target for Pebbles Primrose!
Donate an amount towards HOPE, and let’s see the impossible achieved one rand and KM at a time! No amount is too low and every contribution takes us one step closer to reaching the goal!
DONATE NOW and support us in changing the course of a child’s life today!
